Reid, Guy Evelyn Harrie

The son of Lieutenant Colonel Harrie Archbold Reid, of Horsell, Woking, he came to Winchester from Horris Hill. He was Head of his House during his last half and Commoner Prefect, and played in O.T.H. VI and Association XI. On leaving school, he went into business in London and soon afterwards left England for Nairobi to take up farming. On the outbreak of war he enlisted in the British East African Mounted Rifles and after a period with them in the ranks obtained a commission in The King’s African Rifles. He was killed on March 9th 1915.
