Monro, Kenneth Edward

He was born on 13th September 1893, the son of H T Munro (C 1873-1876) and came to Winchester from Mr F H Gresson’s School at Crowborough. At the outbreak of war he was at Wye Agricultural College, and immediately enlisted in the 4th Battalion East Kent Regiment. Shortly afterwards he was given a commission in the 3rd Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment. He fell, seriously wounded, at Aubers Ridge on 9th May 1915 and died in hospital at Boulogne five days later.
